It was a good experience. I also want to say thank you to Dr. Dozie for being present. He didn’t just give us access to the site, but he made sure we were doing the right thing. The MCQs are good, but you have to approach them with the mindset of understanding the reasons for the correct and wrong answers. This will help in the exam when you likely see a similar question. For OSCE, it will be beneficial to go through the Acemedix OSCE handbook as much as you can, as well as the MDCN recall OSCE. Please practice as much as you can and go through the MCQs as many times as possible. Lastly, follow the instructions.

I’ve always felt confident I would ace the MDCN exam with AceMedix! With the MDCN recall practice and OSCE sessions with other members of AceMedix, it felt like a guaranteed penalty shot on goal! I was 100% confident in the AceMedix materials and didn’t bother reading too many other books like most people did. I just practiced the recalls as Dr. Livinus advised, and with prayers to God Almighty, Jehovah Jireh, it ended in praise. First, I want to thank God for granting me success. “I arrived for the exam on the OSCE day at 7am. After waiting several hours, my number was called and I went into the hall. I was a little nervous but I just tried to keep my cool and I told myself that I was ready. We had also prepared for some questions that were flying around, so I tried to be calm. The first shocker was that at my first station, there was a young doctor who asked my name and if I was afraid. I replied that I was just a little afraid. He then told me not to worry and that he understands that we have been there since 7am and it wasn’t fair to us students. He then told me to calm down and explained that whole station to me (zoonotic diseases) and told me that although I won’t be starting at that station (due to the simulation of the Oder), I should dwell on what he has shown me so when I get back there, I would know what to say😃😃😃😃. I was in shock, and this suddenly boosted my confidence. I went on to other stations and did my thing without any fear or doubt. Although the doctors in my cell didn’t go out of their way to help (except two doctors), they also weren’t mean to me. Most of them made little corrections to point me to exactly what was in their marking scheme. And some of them gave signs of approval by nodding their heads or giving a thumbs up after the exam. One thing for sure is that without GOD and the help of ACEMEDIX, it would have been almost impossible. I felt adequately prepared and knew almost everything that I saw at the OSCE. “I came back from Russia, I didn’t study in English, so I felt really lost. De“First of all, I have to say that this tutorial was far more valuable than I expected. What we paid was peanuts compared to the degree of dedication and work that Dr Livinus put in. Our classes were well-planned (3 times a week), with an online arrangement for people who couldn't attend live classes. Every week, we had high-yield OSCES, MCQS and clerking, counselling and physical examinations practice, distributed into the 3 days of live classes. High-yield topics were well-dissected during corrections of these practice sessions. Lectures were also given occasionally, but the emphasis was on mastering the MDCN format (MCQS, OSCE stations, clerking, counselling and physical examinations). Mock exams were held in accordance with the MDCN format. Dr Livinus was available round the clock for our questions, in and outside the classroom. Learning from Dr Livinus was a rescue for me. I had lots of difficulties. I was very weak with my MCQs, he took his time to walk me through all of it. After the classes I would still message or call and he’d attend to the areas of concern. Before the tutorials ended, I had improved remarkably not only in my MCQs, but my clerking, counseling and examinations were also top notch. One of the most important aspects for me is his constant encouragement, he made me believe in myself even when I thought I knew very little. This tutorial was amazing. Excellent. I stepped out of the exam on the second day and I was grateful for the tutorial. Every paper I picked, every question I saw had been taught by Dr Livi Livi. He kept saying: “read the basic things”; I never listened. I wish I did. I wouldn’t have stressed myself as much, because when I saw my questions they were as basic as the word. Livinus is not just a teacher, he’s a friend. He helped us sort out accommodation issues and always had ENCOURAGING WORDS. At some point I didn’t believe in myself or what I could do and he made it his duty to keep reminding me. Despite the fact that I stressed him so much, he was always willing to answer every question I had and pause when anyone wasn’t understanding. Lmao!
