By God’s grace, my hard work paid off, and I passed. To anyone who has written before and/or is yet to write this exam, my advice is to consume the MDCN recall like your life depends on it. It was a good experience. I also want to say thank you to Dr. Dozie for being present. He didn’t just give us access to the site, but he made sure we were doing the right thing. The MCQs are good, but you have to approach them with the mindset of understanding the reasons for the correct and wrong answers. This will help in the exam when you likely see a similar question. For OSCE, it will be beneficial to go through the Acemedix OSCE handbook as much as you can, as well as the MDCN recall OSCE. Please practice as much as you can and go through the MCQs as many times as possible. Lastly, follow the instructions.

After a failed attempt the first time, I thought about switching tutorials but realized I just needed to do things differently. So, I fully committed to the Acemedix website. The secret to passing the exam is dedicating yourself to it. I didn’t go a day without answering at least 50 questions. I went through the picture test quiz four times and the MDCN recall six times. When I started Acemedix tutorials I didn’t know squat about picture tests but with his tutorials I didn’t have to cram picture tests—which was my game plan. It got so easy for me that I could not only identify pictures easily, but I could also say a few things about a picture even before reading the question! He also gave us a good foundation on clerking that even without reading a topic you’d be able to clerk at least 70% on your worse day. Now just imagine what you’d do on your best day. His tutorials were really exam focused and no hospital would prepare you as much for this exam. So, I’d definitely recommend him to anyone.
